Given that Thistle and Leek just opened, it was up against a lot in its initial days—even more than the average eatery in average times. But its earliest patrons say the current climate did nothing to detract from their experience at Thistle and Leek. Despite following safety and sanitation guidelines meticulously, the staff manages to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
That’s due, in part, to the stellar customer service—but the upscale American food doesn’t hurt, either. It’s served tapas-style so you can try a few different dishes over the course of your evening. The steak tartare, lamb meatballs, and chickpea Panisse all come highly recommended, but you really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu.
