Exercise is a great way to alleviate stress and boost your mood, which is particularly important in these unprecedented times. If rock-climbing is one of your favorite ways to stay fit, good news! Central Rock Gym reopened at the beginning of the month with new guidelines to keep everyone safe.
For now, its fitness classes and most rock-climbing classes have been put on pause. However, the climbing and gym areas are open by reservation only. Book a time slot online and make sure you bring along a mask (or grab one from the front desk) as they’re required at all times when you’re inside. Ropes and workout equipment have been spaced more than six feet apart to allow for social distancing as you climb. If you’re totally new to climbing, you’ll be happy to know that Central Rock Gym is still offering basic belaying classes at this time—look for the schedule online.
