Bemis Park encompasses a mere 1.9 acres of green space in the West End, but don’t let the small footprint fool you. What the pint-sized park lacks in size, it makes up for in opportunities for entertainment. The park squeezes a lot of fun into those almost-two acres, which prominently features a baseball diamond (used by local Little League teams).
In addition to the baseball field, Bemis Park also boasts a basketball court and batting cages for some fresh-air recreation. If you bike to the park, stow your cycle at the bike rack and enjoy a meal at one of the picnic tables. You can even play a game of street hockey on the park’s dedicated court or simply spread out a blanket on the grass and soak up some rays at Bemis Park.
